“I was blessed to serve two wonderful schools: St. Martini Lutheran School on the south side of Milwaukee and John Paul II Academy in Racine. I encountered a diverse group of students, teachers, and families; but, ultimately, I knew that we all need the same thing: God’s love. The best part of my job every day was getting to see the struggles of this world and turn hurting hearts to the Word. No matter what challenges we faced as a team and family, we rejoiced in our Savior who calls us to serve. I was overjoyed to see teachers who yearned to let Christ flow through them to inspire and uplift the young souls. I also loved getting to connect with this family of believers through prayer and devotion. My favorite highlight of the summer came after a Q & A session with some 1st and 2nd graders. As we were exiting the classroom, two young girls looked at my Bible and said, “You have your own Bible? I love the Bible! I love Jesus!” I pray that this love for Jesus continues and overflows in all these teachers, students, and families as they look forward to coming home to the kingdom.”
