Hebrews 13:8- “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

“This verse rang through our ears nonstop at Shining Star and St. Marcus Middle every morning and especially in our devotions. The privilege to teach children about Jesus who perfectly focused on His work to save us from sin, who gives us plenty of reasons to respect Him, who helps us overcome any fear on and after this earth, and who makes us accountable for sharing His work among others each and every day. By the grace of God, I was blessed to be a chaplain for a second year in a row, and this experience was just as filled with wisdom, humility, and joy as the last! The children and I grew so close and formed a bond that will never separate us. Although some students were coming from unstructured homes to abusive relatives, and even to the point of emotional and spiritual neglect, God saw fit that His Word came through my words and actions and show the children just a glimpse of the source of our happiness and comfort: Jesus Christ. Sharing His message and bringing positivity to each and every heart of the children of Shining Star and St. Marcus Middle is one more hand to pull these children from the harsh and cruelty of life into a hopeful future on earth, but more importantly, in Heaven with Jesus.”
